Fairy Flying (or Falling) School

With the warm weather we had last week the kids spent most of their afterschool time outside. Holdyn is getting hooked on basketball, of course the season ends this week but there's next year to practice for. Evie and Kallie have decided that they want to have Fairy Flying School. They each pick a type of fairy that they want to be (water fairy, flower fairy, etc). Then they "fly" around the yard (run with their arms out to the sides). One word - Supercute!
Early last week Kallie decided to take FFS a step further. She came in and asked for a plastic Wal-Mart sack. I gave her one and she went back out. A few minutes later Evie comes running in the door yelling that Kallie was hurt. Turns out the plastic bag was supposed to be a parachute for Kallie as she stood on top of the goat shed and JUMPED OFF!!! Thankfully, its only about 3-3 1/2 feet off the ground and surrounded by soft grass. Kallie jumped off, plummeted to the ground, and bumped her chin (hard) on her knee. She was fine after her tears were dried but her chin bears the purply-brown bruise of a failed fairy paratrooper.

That is the cutest story ever...I wonder if I can find those fairy dolls they use to have that would spin in the air and "fly"...I will try.

I just love your kiddos! and well, you, but you already knew that.

Tell Kallie I feel her pain. I too use to do things like that...walking up boxes in roller skates, etc. I think it's awesome that she is not afraid to try things. But I know it causes you worry! Love you all!
